About The Position

This role involves leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process, promoting a positive patient experience and family-centered care reflective of the patient population. The Nurse Manager is responsible for building and retaining a talented and inspired workforce by developing, engaging, and empowering personnel to fulfill their potential. They will collaborate as an integrated team by sharing information, best practices, and results openly through practice in a professional governance model. The position contributes to and facilitates strategic program growth, development, and organizational change, and is accountable for achieving organizational and financial goals. The Nurse Manager achieves quality outcomes through the utilization of a performance improvement process, uses evidence-based practice and research to guide patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration, and is responsible for self-development and supporting a learning environment. The role requires demonstrating progressive leadership and effective management, ensuring regulatory standards are maintained, and displaying commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Additionally, the position includes performing other assigned duties, complying with all policies and standards, and safely and securely maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN) from an Accredited Program.
  • Master's Degree for Level 4 NICU, Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum and Antenatal (Required).
  • 3+ years progressive clinical and management experience.
  • Demonstrates skills in human relations, human & material resource management.
  • Evidence of ability to provide exceptional nursing leadership.
  • Demonstrates the ability to facilitate change, excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
  • Able to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of current technology and equipment to meet patient and employee needs.
  • Proficiency with PC and computer applications.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certification in clinical or leadership specialty (Required within 1 Year).
