About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department (RN) for a permanent leadership opportunity in Overland Park, Kansas. Under the guidance and direction of the Director of Emergency Services and the Chief Nursing Officer, the Emergency Department Nurse Manager provides nursing leadership and operational oversight for a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care through effective staffing, daily operations management, and clinical oversight. The Nurse Manager monitors and evaluates nursing care delivery in accordance with established policies and procedures, holding staff accountable for clinical quality, patient outcomes, and departmental performance. This leader works closely with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support emergency services objectives, trauma readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of RECENT (within the last year) acute care Emergency Department leadership experience.
Manager-level experience in a high-acuity ED is strongly preferred; ED Charge Nurse leadership experience may be considered.
Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
BSN preferred or actively pursuing with completion within 2 years of hire.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice OR active multistate compact license required.
Required certifications within 90 days of hire: ACLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC or PALS.

Nice To Haves
