About The Position
As the NICU Nurse Manager , youll play a vital role assisting the Director in overseeing all department activities, ensuring exceptional care for neonates and their families . Youll foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement in the Womens Services Units.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of recent acute care NICU leadership experience (Manager or Charge Nurse)
- BSN required
- Current RN license in Texas or multi-state compact license (Texas RN license required within 60 days of hire)
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Director to coordinate department efforts aligned with the facilitys mission and vision
- Lead and support nursing staff by providing clinical guidance and leadership
- Oversee and participate in Performance Improvement initiatives to boost patient outcomes
- Ensure nursing care delivery follows the nursing process and quality standards
- Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care strategies
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and foster a positive, supportive work environment
