Nurse Manager - Medical Surgical
About The Position
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of best practice for quality delivery of care and patient safety on the Medical-Surgical Unit. Will possess knowledgeable resource to staff, the ability to lead and communicate appropriately with physicians, other department managers, and staff are essential. Under general direction, and in accordance with the State of California Nurse Practice Act, and the goals, objectives and strategic plan of the organization, to provide leadership, plan, organize, and supervise personnel; to manage, report on, and provide resources for the Medical-Surgical Unit and to perform related work as required. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, from an accredited college or university.
- California Registered Nurse License.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Medical-Surgical certification, or must obtain within 6 months of hire into the position
- PCN certification, or must obtain certification within 6 months of hire into the position
- Experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital as well as experience in a Medical-Surgical Unit.
