About The Position

Responsible for the overall operations of the Cardiology Procedure departments (EP Lab, Cath Lab, IR, CVC and Hybrid OR). Engages and maintains partnerships throughout the system and community to facilitate a multi-disciplinary approach for planning and implementing clinical protocols and practice in the care of the acutely ill and injured population. Leads practice innovations that produce quality outcomes and a culture of safety. Builds a strong team through recruitment, retention, education, and competencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
  • 3 years Nursing experience. Required
  • 1 year Supervising or managing others. Required
  • Knowledge/understanding of the department standards related to the care of the acutely ill or injured patient.
  • Demonstrated success in clinical practice and team building.
  • Ability to lead through influence in a complex system environment.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to coordinate and delegate work assignments; to set priorities and accomplish a wide variety of tasks.
  • Knowledge of the administrative, professional and clinical organization of Stormont-Vail HealthCare.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Director and other department physicians and staff.
  • Registered Nurse - KSBN A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted. Required
  • Basic Life Support - BLS RQI, CPR or ACLS certifications may be required in lieu of or in addition to BLS depending on department. Must have within 90 days of hire.

  • Coordinates patient care management across the system, including planning and implementing of clinical protocols and practice.
  • Monitors clinical outcomes and system issues related to quality of care and regulatory standards and enforces compliance.
  • Recruits and interviews applicants.
  • Able to maintain, make adjustments, and communicate position control.
  • Accountable to developing staff through education and competencies.
  • Responsible for staff performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback and ongoing coaching.
  • Maintains appropriate standards for discipline and termination in collaboration with the Director.
  • Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
  • Performs other duties as assigned
