About The Position

This position is responsible for storing, ordering, administering and overseeing the self-administration of medications. Duties also include providing initial and ongoing medical assessments and scheduling medical and psychiatric appointments as needed. The incumbent in this position will also provide ongoing education related to medical and psychiatric diagnoses, medications and wellness.

Requirements

• Current licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse by State of Pennsylvania
• experience working with individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse disorders preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational skills and the ability to effectively work with a team.
• Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health system and recovery principles.
• Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse disorders and encourage their participation with comprehensive treatment plans.
• Act 33/34/31 and FBI Clearances
• Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
