Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Nurse Leader – Infusion Services (New York City) At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, our Infusion Services team is essential to delivering safe, evidence‑based cancer treatments with compassion and precision. As a Nurse Leader, you will guide a high‑performing infusion team, champion clinical excellence, support innovation, and shape the patient and staff experience in one of MSK’s most critical care environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • BLS certification required; national nursing certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent nursing experience; infusion or oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to oversee large teams, manage resources, and support performance effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills with strong self‑awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Proven mentorship and coaching capability to develop nursing talent.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to drive high‑quality patient outcomes.
  • Adaptability and resilience in leading teams through change and rapidly evolving clinical needs.
  • Collaborative leadership style focused on building trusting, productive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for infusion services, ensuring safe and consistent delivery of oncology infusion treatments.
  • Support nurses in managing complex regimens, symptom management, and patient education.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster a compassionate, patient‑centered environment focused on trust and continuity of care.
  • Lead staff education, competency development, and ongoing professional growth.
  • Drive workflow optimization to support timely, efficient patient throughput.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary partners to coordinate seamless patient care.
  • Mentor and coach clinicians through individualized training and orientation pathways.
  • Lead and support a large, diverse team (60+ staff, including RNs and MAs), with the ability to step in operationally as needed.
