About The Position

The Nurse Instructor is responsible for teaching and mentoring nursing students or healthcare staff within the state’s nursing programs or healthcare facilities. This role requires expertise in nursing theory, clinical practice, and curriculum development, with a focus on promoting educational excellence and enhancing the skills of future nurses.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, teaching methodologies, and adult learning principles.
  • Strong ability to design, implement, and assess educational programs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to motivate and guide students and staff in their professional development.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory standards for nursing education.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years’ Experience in a Long-Term Care Setting within the last five (5) years preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience in a nursing education setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing curriculum and training programs.
  • Teach nursing theory and supervise clinical practice for students or staff.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback and evaluations.
  • Stay current with nursing trends, evidence-based practices, and educational methodologies.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with accreditation standards for nursing education programs.
  • Participate in professional development and continue education efforts to improve instructional methods.
