About The Position

Providence is calling for RNs in Anchorage, Alaska. Hours: Part Time (12 Hours Weekly) Variable Shift Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Extern assists patients with activities of daily living; provides a safe environment for patients by providing 1:1 observation and care; and, assists staff and patients with select procedures and health interventions, all in a family centered environment. The Extern can also assist in data collection activities (i.e. hand hygiene survalliance, personal protective equipment usage, etc). Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an NLN approved nursing program.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Current enrollment in an NLN approved Bachelor of Science nursing program; has successfully completed, at a minimum, the 1st semester of clinicals.
  • Previous employment in a health care setting.
