It also provides expertise in pediatric critical care, rehabilitation, and neonatal/perinatal medicine across its main hospital, Troy location, and six ambulatory sites. The Nurse Extern II (NE II) role is a vital patient care support position, providing essential assistance and comfort to patients. As a member of the patient care services team, the NE II performs technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse, who delegates tasks and provides instruction and mentorship.
Requirements
- Applicants can apply starting 6 months before graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Must pass all senior courses to remain in the program
Responsibilities
- Provide technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities
- Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse
- Assist with providing patient care such as ADLs, vitals, and ambulation
- Perform other duties within the scope of a patient care tech or equivalent
