Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) Educator is responsible for assisting in developing, conducting and evaluating organizational nurse/medical treatment team training programs. The Nurse Educator conducts classroom and individual training through in-service, clinical supervision programs, orientation tracks, new graduate residence program and training status of employees, as well as the continuing education and professional development for nurses, students and other patient care staff as required. The RN Educator serves as a resource for both staff and site leadership. The RN Educator assists with the preceptorship and mentorship programs and provides recommendations and guidance for patient educational programs. The RN Educator performs administrative duties as needed, plans a monthly calendar for education activities, and serves on special committees as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
  • 3-5 years of Health Care related experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a training or education role preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a training or education role preferred.
