The Nurse Educator is responsible for staff development including orientation, in-service, continuing and mandated education.
Requirements
- Current NYS RN licensure
- Minimum of 4 years related clinical experience
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education.
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certification
- Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Responsibilities
- Conducting clinical rounds
- Collaborate on projects related to our Magnet journey
- Identify the individual and collective learning needs of staff
- Develop course curriculum and teach classes, incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., on-line learning modules)
- Promote best clinical practices and inspire award-winning nurses
- Regularly evaluate staff competencies and provide clinical mentorship and career guidance
