About The Position

This role is focusing on educating the care management team across AHN. It will require travel between regional AHN Hospital sites. The Nurse Educator is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the educational activities for the assigned area(s) and participating in meeting the educational needs for assigned area(s).

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Education -OR- relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of Master’s Degree in Nursing or Education
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience
• 2 years of education/training experience
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

• CPR instructor certification
• Certification in area of specialty

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
• Works in collaboration with leadership and staff to facilitate and implement quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Serves as an educational consultant for leadership and staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, regulatory compliance, professional development, and other assigned committee work.
• Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs.
• Conducts and analyzes formal and informal learning needs with leadership and staff. Develops and implements annual competency and education plan(s).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required, including direct patient care.
