This position is responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of the Nursing Departmental orientation program and for performing unit-based orientation. This position serves as the Nurse Educator/Preceptor for all new RN’s and LPNs. The position also performs competency checkoffs for Professional Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Health Care Technicians. The position serves as a resource for increasing performance in staff requiring assistance in reaching their potential within their job role. Work schedule is primarily 8:00am to 5:00pm when assigned to Educator/Preceptor duties. Works rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as needed to provide training and complete Educator/Preceptor duties.
