About The Position
Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital - Haverhill MA Certified or Non-Certified Nursing Assistant with Phlebotomy Experience Looking for 40 or 32 hours/week: 11pm-7am, every other weekend Pay Rate : $20.00-$22.00 per hour Differentials: $5 weekdays, $6 weekends Primary Responsibilities: You will be assisting our nursing staff to care for our rehabilitation patients within our LTACH and IRF Hospital units. including, but not limited to: Continuously monitors/observes patients to assure needs are met in a timely manner. Assists patients with activities of daily living specific to culture, age and developmental level. Performs tasks/tests delegated by the registered nurse and reports/records data as needed. Performs advanced skills delegated by the registered nurse as deemed competent, reports/records data as needed. Checking vital signs, blood sugar, bladder scanning, strict intake and output monitoring and documentation Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patients and unusual incidents. Phlebotomy: Blood draws as needed
Requirements
- Must have current BLS Certification.
- Able to read, write and speak English.
Nice To Haves
- Nurse Assistant Certification or experience as nurse assistant preferred, but non-experienced who wish to learn are encouraged to apply
- Working experience as phlebotomist; phlebotomy certificate a plus
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
