About The Position

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the performance of nursing assistants Assign duties and manage daily staffing to ensure adequate coverage Overseeing daily unit operations, providing support to staff, actively being on milieu and attending to patient needs Monitor patient care activities to ensure safety, dignity, and quality standards are met Provide guidance, coaching, and corrective action when needed Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of nursing assistants Serve as a resource and liaison between NAs, nurses, and management Observe and report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff Review timecards for accuracy, and approve Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements Participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary processes Assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, and timekeeping as assigned Maybe required to work units when staffing is insufficient Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment Nurse assistant chart auditing to include all nurse assistant documentation Perform duties as assigned by nurse manager Supervisory Duties (if any) Supervision of Nurse Assistants Requirements Job Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree relevant to healthcare field Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific) preferred, not required Previous experience as a nurse assistant; supervisory or lead experience preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques, safety practices, and healthcare regulations Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to handle conflict, multitask, and work under pressure CPR certification Working Conditions and Other Conditions of Employment Working Environment: This job operates in a fast paced, professional office environment and routinely required the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. The position may require travel to conferences, meetings and branch locations on a regular or intermittent basis. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. In the health center environment, there is potential for contact with blood-borne pathogens and communicable diseases, as well as potential for contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals. There could be interaction with persons who are mentally ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to healthcare field
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-specific) preferred, not required
  • Previous experience as a nurse assistant; supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care techniques, safety practices, and healthcare regulations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle conflict, multitask, and work under pressure
  • CPR certification
