About The Position

This part-time position is in the Adult Education division. The instructor will guide the classroom and lab learning experiences for the students preparing to be a State Tested Nurse Aide. The Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor will report to the Director of Instruction via the Adult Education Coordinator.

Requirements

Two years' experience working in long-term care required
Current work in the field of Nursing preferred
Past experience in adult education teaching or training preferred and completiton of the 28 hour Train-the-Trainer class
Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and tools of the Nurse Aide program
Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned
Ability to move about in classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior/learning
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and peers
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students
