About The Position

The Hospitality Aide/Non State Tested Aid is responsible for assisting staff in resident care in a team-oriented environment. Provides personal attention to resident's social, physical, emotional, spiritual & intellectual needs. Reporting directly to the charge nurse, the Hospitality Aide is expected to provide the highest level of quality resident care in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. This role is M - Th, 8 am - 4pm and Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. No major holidays! Assist or provide members with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, etc. in order to meet their physical, spiritual and psychosocial needs. Maintain confidentiality of all member care information (HIPAA) and adhere to all member rights. Observe member's condition and communicate to RN Supervisor on a daily basis Follow all established infection control guidelines and standard precautions. Assist with admission and discharge procedures as required. Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment properly. Attend NA monthly meetings, answer call lights, and assist members with any rehabilitative requirements. Cooperate with all staff to ensure all member's needs are met. Attend and participate in all in-services and training sessions as required per position. Complete all required documentation in an accurate & timely fashion. Accept changes in work assignments as requested by the assigned supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have completed a Nurse Aide Training Program (ie. COALA) State-tested Nurse Assistant on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with dementia preferred
  • Previous long-term care experience desirable
