This role will support Diablo Canyon Power Plan Learning Services department, including all accredited training programs in Operations, Maintenance, and Technical training. Supports the maintenance of National Nuclear Accrediting Board accreditation for applicable training programs from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), including coordination of accrediting board preparation activities and assist/lead authoring of the accreditation self-evaluation report (ASER). Provides guidance and support to training supervisors and staff to ensure compliance with Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) accreditation guidelines and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations. Designs, develops, implements and manages instructor-training programs, including conducting initial and continuing instructor training that ensures a competent instructional staff. Develops self-assessment plans and coordinates the self-assessment process for the training department, including preparation documents for the Training Challenge Board. Develops, maintains and implements the systematic approach to training (SAT) procedures and handbook guidance. Performs instructor evaluations, including evaluation of instructor of performance data and recommend appropriate actions. Develops, implements, and manages performance indicators and metrics to maintain National Nuclear Accrediting Board accreditation. May manage projects or initiatives. Solves moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
