About The Position

Job Summary Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. Essential Functions Meet with patients to obtain their medical histories, and explain diagnostic procedures and tests Collect blood and urine samples from patients Determine and prepare the equipment and supplies required for an examination or procedure Prepare and administer the proper dose of radiopharmaceuticals to patients, by injection or inhalation Lift and slide patients to position them for cameras, to obtain diagnostic images Analyze diagnostic images and the results of lab tests Employ safety methods (including the use of syringe shields, gloves, and personal radiation-monitoring devices) to protect patients and the medical staff from radiation exposure Oversee quality control, regularly subjecting equipment to a wide range of tests Work under the supervision of physicians, and in coordination with other medical professionals Create and update patient records Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements

  • Education: High school; Three years diploma school or four years of college, or comparable education in an AMA approved Associate Degree program for Nuclear Medicine.
  • Licensure: New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection - Nuclear Medicine
  • Certification: ARRT and NMTCB certified
  • BLS certification by American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year experience after registry or certification preferred
  • Must be willing to work holidays, weekends and provide additional coverage as needed
