About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join the Nuclear Medicine Team at Bridgton Hospital! Part-time, 20 hours per week, benefit eligible position! The Opportunity: As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist , your diagnostic imaging specialty plays a pivotal role in providing top quality patient care. Through your expertise, utilizing specialized equipment, radioactive materials and innovative procedures, we are able to achieve accurate diagnoses, which is vital in the creation of treatment plans for our patients. Participates in on call, weekend and holiday schedules. Requirements

  • CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required
  • Licensed by the State of Maine as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification or Due within one month of expiration required.
  • Current DOT HAZMAT training certificate renewable every three years.

Responsibilities

  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
  • Performs and assists with nuclear medicine and PET/CT Exams.
  • Is Responsible for direct patient safety and following all procedural protocols.
  • Maintains all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintains all Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and American College of Radiology ( ACR ) accreditation requirements.
  • Is able to perform Regional Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Support at Multiple contract sites as a contract Technologist.
  • Assists in Clinical instruction for Radiology and Nursing students in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Maintains patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborn to elderly.
