Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Radiologist (NM Radiologist) to support the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center (CMCVAMC) in Philadelphia, PA. Requirements

  • Security Requirements: Must be able to obtain a PIV badge. This position requires passing an extensive background check.
  • Possess the M.D. (medical doctor) or O.D. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree
  • Active, unrestricted medical license.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by ABR.
  • Fully credentialed and privileged by CMCVAMC.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in Nuclear Medicine interpretation.
  • HIPAA trained and certified
  • Valid Real-ID state-issued driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality

Responsibilities

  • Interpret nuclear medicine imaging studies
  • Provide final radiology interpretations for exams performed during regular tours when existing services are unavailable or insufficient.
  • Maintain turnaround time standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Participate in clinical consultations and multidisciplinary case discussions as needed.
  • Support educational activities, including oversight and teaching house staff of academic affiliates.
  • Adhere to CMCVAMC documentation, compliance, coding, and reporting protocols.
  • Be available for consultation with clinicians and technologists regarding imaging exams and diagnostic recommendations.
  • Communicate critical results to the ordering practitioner or surrogate immediately, and no later than 1 hour of detecting the finding.
  • Compare current studies with prior relevant imaging when clinically indicated.
  • Document and communicate discrepancies between preliminary and final interpretations, including date and time of communication.
  • Interpret urgent and STAT NM studies within required timelines if such studies are assigned under the contract.
  • Produce final reports that meet ACR standards.
  • Include all required report elements in the interpretation.
  • Use only approved abbreviations in the patient health record.
  • Assign diagnostic codes for both normal and abnormal studies.
  • All other duties as assigned.
