About The Position

Nuclear Hardness Engineer The Opportunity: Manage a team of nuclear hardness analysts to perform hardness and EMI or EMC assessments of systems and subsystems. Evaluate proposals or recommendations for weapons system changes. Perform studies and validate subsystem inspections and tests to provide assurance that survivability values for configured modification or substitution items are sufficient and do not allow hardness and EMC to degrade. Lead the development of solutions to highly complex problems. Work with a wide latitude for unreviewed action or decision, and be responsible for the supervision and development of first-level supervisors or managers.

Requirements

  • Experience with nuclear hardness analysis and implementation
  • Experience planning and executing test plans, surveillance testing, and hardness and EMI or EMC evaluation events
  • Knowledge of EMI or EMC, and EMP
  • Knowledge of Air Force weapons design or implementation, and government acquisitions
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 15+ years of experience with advanced electronics or electrical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering, Master’s degree and 12+ years of experience with advanced electronics or electrical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering, or Doctorate degree and 9+ years of experience with advanced electronics or electrical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering
  • Certified Professional Engineer Certification

  • Top Secret clearance
