About The Position

Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality-Sanitation Lead provides administrative and leadership support and services to all employees and managers of the facility.

Requirements

  • Must have good essential knowledge and skills in chemical safety
  • Must have excellent planning, organizational and work management skills
  • Must possess and demonstrate good safety & quality orientation, attention to detail, work standards, and adhere to all GMPs
  • Must be comfortable coaching, teaching, and speaking to larger groups
  • Able to work 3rd shifts when needed and be flexible in completing tasks
  • Experience using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Quality Suites, and SAP
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing quality/sanitation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous QA/Sanitation experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sanitation and quality supervisors to oversee, manage, and develop hourly team members
  • Manage day-to-day Quality/Sanitation related processes (HACCP Review, Positive-Release, data collection, entry, trending, and analysis of environmental monitoring program including micro testing and analysis)
  • Maintain quality systems, auditing programs, and sanitation documentation
  • Ensure compliance with plant quality policies, HACCP, USDA, and 3rd Party Certifications
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tools, and chemical dispensing stations
  • Interact with hourly union employees, management employees, corporate personnel, suppliers, and 3rd party servicing companies
  • Assist with managing department budget and inventory of chemicals/supplies
  • Oversee and maintain storage of the acid cage, chemical storage, and sanitation supply area
  • Participate in audits and plant trials
  • Assist in ensuring hourly union employees receive annual compliance/job related training
  • Identify sanitation improvements, project/budget savings, and provide continuous improvement for the program
  • Provide additional administrative support as needed
