About The Position

Performs a variety of complex payroll and attendance functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification and reconciliation of employee leave information, payroll records, and payment of funds for contract. Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies. Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information into designated records. Process application material for Spartan Patrollers and Contractual Security Service Officers. Prepare onboarding and separation documents, maintain records, reports, and files on medical leave, workman’s compensation, and timekeeping records.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret leave and timekeeping procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to create complex spreadsheets
  • Working knowledge and experience in general and payroll accounting
  • Skilled in the use of automated timekeeping systems and software.
  • Working knowledge of regulations and laws related to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service and communication to both internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience working with Cardinal Peoplesoft strongly preferred.
