About The Position

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSEThe Project Manager provides management of design and construction related activities for capital projects as assigned.This position manages activities related to project communications, contract administration, change orders, submittals,procurement, project financial projections, and schedule requirements, manages risks and contingencies to ensureprojects are completed with successful outcomes in quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness. The Project Managerinterfaces and communicates with the hospital operations leadership for project coordination as appropriate. This positionreports directly to the Senior Project Manager, Area Manager, or System Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management,Engineering, or Architecture and/or equivalent experiencerequired.
  • Minimum (2+) years of experience in leading project managementdesign and construction projects.
  • Thorough working knowledge of project construction budgets andcontrols.
  • Demonstrated success in delivery of major healthcare capitalprojects.
  • Experience in facilitating project design and construction relatedmeetings and presentations.
  • Knowledge of project delivery methods such as design-build,design-bid-build or others.
  • Experience in developing conceptual project scope, schedules andbudgets.
  • Experience with construction processes, building and life safetycodes.
  • Knowledge of approving authorities, OSHPD/HCAI (for State ofCalifornia positions only) and similar regulatory agencies.
  • Displays self-confidence and inspires confidence in others.
  • Google Office Suite
  • MS Project, Excel or similar
  • Blue Beam, Adobe Pro and/or similar

Nice To Haves

  • Professional license, registration and/or certification preferred.
  • Knowledge in health facility preconstruction services.
  • Knowledge in equipment planning processes.
  • Knowledge of effective problem solving, risk analysis andcontingency planning strategies, to communicate with leadershipteams.
