This strategic sourcing role leads the development and execution of new project supply strategies, driving improvements in cost, quality, and delivery. NPD Sourcing Manager serves as a key decision-maker, managing supplier negotiations, making award decisions, and addressing complex sourcing challenges. As a project leader and escalation point, the role collaborates with cross-functional teams, presents at Project Gate reviews, and mentors others across the organization. This position plays a critical role in large-scale initiatives such as new technology integration, commonization efforts, and ground up new product development projects. Projects and decisions have impact to long term revenue and growth of the organization. This position will rely on expertise in the supply base and sourcing processes to identify alternative materials and processes to support project goals and balance long-term business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Level I = 4+ years of strategic sourcing experience.
  • Level II = 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience.
  • Proven success in developing and executing sourcing strategies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred previous experience in sourcing electrical components
  • Advanced supplier negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working across technical domains and supplier capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of TTC's SAP/MRP/ERP/ARIBA

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute project supply strategies; identify and close supply chain gaps that may be critical to the business and of high importance.
  • Complete complex TCOs and MvBs to make award decisions.
  • Partner with commodity teams to manage contracts through the lifecycle, ensuring adherence.
  • Review and coordinate execution of complex development and IP agreements.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, pre-award communications, and track supplier launch readiness.
  • Escalation point for business sourcing-related issues.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, drive alignment, and present at gate reviews.
  • Identify supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial and operational factors.
  • Utilize analytics and market intelligence to forecast trends and inform others.
  • Mentor cross-functional teams and lead process improvements.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives for large or specialized projects (e.g., New Tech, platforming).
  • Strong knowledge of supply base across multiple commodities
  • Recommend alternative materials or processes based on print reviews.
  • Will be required to partner and influence senior level leaders within the organization.
  • Lead inter-ISC improvement, lean and productivity initiatives.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues that arise in work and support colleagues who need assistance in troubleshooting.
  • All other tasks and projects as assigned.

  • Competitive Salary - The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $90,000 - $120,000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
