About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) role involves utilizing advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills. This position works both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive health care to individuals and families. A key focus is on health promotion and disease prevention, with the ability to care for patients across all age ranges, from newborn to elderly, depending on the area of expertise. The role also emphasizes the importance of high-level customer service skills to foster positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (for NP)
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state (for NP)
  • Current certification in CPR (for NP and PA)
  • National certification in applicable area (for NP and PA)
  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice (for NP and PA)
  • Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state (for PA)
  • High level of customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills

  • Provide health care to individuals and families
