The team comprises mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering experts who solve complex design challenges with precision, creativity, and collaboration, optimizing energy efficiency, integrating resilient systems, and engineering next-generation facilities. This position is a leadership opportunity for an experienced professional to serve as the North Texas Building Engineering Services (BES) Project Delivery Leader (PDL). The PDL will report to the North Texas BES Business Group Manager (BGM) and work alongside the BGM to provide and promote consistent project management processes, quality, and oversight of project delivery across the Business Group (BG). The PDL will collaborate closely with BG leadership to promote and advance project management skills development, career path development, and mentorship of BG staff. Direct reports may include local program managers, project managers, commercial managers, and collaborative delivery leads. The PDL will also be responsible for understanding and having direct knowledge of HDR project management tools, collaborating, training, and mentoring staff on their implementation and use, and supporting recruiting and retention efforts for the program.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field
10 years related experience
A minimum of 5 years of project management experience
Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software
Ability to interact with various design teams
Excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills

Proven history of delivering high quality, profitable and successful facility projects
Extensive knowledge and experience with systems and PM tools for effective project management and delivery

Responsibilities

Promote, monitor, and develop project management skills and quality best practices for BES staff across the Area
Provide project management team organization and leadership for projects across the BG
Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers
Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement of Project Management including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned
Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities, striving for continuous improvement
Collaborate effectively with BG operations, market leadership / sectors, business classes, and Professional Services Leaders
Perform delegated matrix of authority (MOA) responsibilities from BGM
Work with Business Group Manager to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with the overall Area, corporate policy, and MOA
Assist with daily operations, such as project oversight, management reviews, financials and driving profitability at the project level
Develop and implement standard project delivery practices, procedures, and approaches
Participate in 0%25 reviews, project reviews, and PARR’s and support project teams with management of claims and losses
Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with project teams to verify that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
Perform other duties as needed
Understand and have direct knowledge of the HDR project management tools and collaborate, train, and mentor staff on their implementation and use
Support recruiting and retention efforts for the program
