Responsibilities
- Collect and record intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) data, including facial EMG, EEG, and stimulation event logs, from surgical cases.
- Organize and label multimodal datasets (intraoperative recordings, postoperative clinical assessments, and imaging) using standardized research protocols.
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and anonymization in compliance with IRB and data governance standards.
- Perform preliminary data analysis, including signal quality review, event detection, and summary statistics.
- Generate summary tables, figures, and dashboards to track study metrics.
- Contribute to preparation of internal progress reports, abstracts, and manuscripts under investigator supervision.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to project planning and workflow improvement.
- Communicate with clinical teams to ensure accurate data capture and follow-up assessments.
- Maintain organized study documentation and logs to support reproducibility and audit readiness.
- Ensure all data collection and sharing activities comply with institutional data security, IRB, and HIPAA requirements.
- Track study milestones and coordinate submissions for continuing review, data use agreements, and protocol amendments.
- Support development and testing of computational tools (e.g., algorithms for EMG signal analysis, data visualization templates).
- Assist with integration of new data collection systems and provide feedback on usability and workflow optimization.
