About The Position

Clean Water Action is looking to hire a core team of motivated individuals with a passion for progressive social change to fill community-outreach and management positions.
This is a full-time position. We are looking to hire candidates who are available to start immediately. This is an in-person job in Northampton, MA, and the hours are from 1pm to 9pm Monday through Friday.
What we work on:
Accountability: Hold elected officials accountable to protecting the environment and public health.
Clean Water: Protect the nation’s waterways to keep our drinking water and recreational areas pristine
Environmental Justice: Ensure that low income communities and communities of color are not disproportionately burdened by negative environmental impacts.
Climate Change: Promote energy efficiency and renewable energy policies and programs that will help mitigate climate change disasters, improve overall public health, and create a green working economy.

Requirements

• A true passion for environmental issues, politics, or social justice
• Applicants must have reliable plans to commute or reside locally.

Responsibilities

• Educating the public on our campaigns
• Building the support we need to win through petition signatures
• Collecting letters to our lawmakers
• Fundraising
• Training and developing new activists
• Motivating teams of 5 or more to be goal oriented
• Managing team logistics
• Analyzing canvass and budget performance
• Excelling at setting and meeting goals
• Leading by example
