About The Position

The role is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements across non production environments, with a focus on monitoring, reporting, scheduling, and execution of non production data management activities. The role evaluates current capabilities, provides actionable recommendations for improvement, and partners with Implementation Services to ensure effective execution of those recommendations. This position serves as the single point of accountability for non production environments, balancing speed, quality, cost, and risk while enabling teams to deliver changes safely, consistently, and efficiently into production.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in IT operations, environment management, DevOps, release management, or related roles.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise‑scale non‑production environments across multiple applications and teams.
  • Strong understanding of environment lifecycle management and configuration consistency.
  • Some experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and/or hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern infrastructure practices.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and deployment automation practices.
  • Java or Python coding experience
  • Experience working within ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
  • Proficiency with ITSM and work‑management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills, including CMDB or environment inventory management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and resolve cross‑team conflicts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, implement, and support COUNTRY’s IT solutions.
  • Ensure IT solutions meet requirements for security, availability, capacity, resiliency, and performance in a way that is efficient and supportable, reducing overall support costs.
  • Understand industry leading solutions and trends for assigned technologies and applying those as appropriate for COUNTRY.
  • Understand business needs and partnering with appropriate IT counterparts to recommend technology solutions.
  • Establish and maintain an IT multi-year strategy with a focus on continuous improvement. Create and maintain solutions architecture artifacts and other strategy and system documentation.
