About The Position

SUMMARY: Individuals in this position assemble company products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble company products at standard rate Follow written work instructions and complete required quality documents Accurately post transactions using shop floor data collection devices Interpret mechanical drawings to assemble products correctly Use personal hand tools as needed to assist in the assembly process Perform other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. QUALIFICATIONS: Able to pass a pre-employment math and measurement test Proficient in using measuring equipment (preferred) Ability to read mechanical drawings with minimal assistance (preferred) Understanding of dimensional tolerances (preferred) Able to read a tape measure to 1/16" accuracy EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required REQUIRED SKILLS: Basic reading and writing skills Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals Basic keyboarding skills including how to print documents PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the non-air conditioned work environment is usually moderate. All required PPE, including steel toe shoes, must be worn and a clean work environment must be maintained. Requirements
