Non-Mechanical Field Technician

About The Position

As a Non-Mechanical Field Technician , you'll be responsible for working in diverse settings within the construction industry and will produce steady, functional infrastructure and products. Beginning-to-end installation of primary carpentry projects that have specific deliverables, focuses, timelines, and quality performance objectives. We are looking for this individual to bring knowledge of commercial construction and an understanding of electrical and/or refrigeration would be a plus!

Requirements

3+ years of rough-to-finish carpentry and/or construction experience
2 + years of experience with Microsoft Office software
2+ years operating tools, machines, and other equipment

Nice To Haves

OSHA 30 certification is preferred
Technical construction education program desired
Basic electrical and refrigeration experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Understand the scope of the project and assist with the creation of PEP (project execution plan) to ensure successful project completion
Read blueprints and ensure the work performed is up to code and specifications/standards
Measure and calculate the amount of materials needed as well as the selection of materials, ie, wood, plastic, and drywall
Construct partitions and structures such as walls, frames, cabinets, molding, etc
Review the schedule with the supervisor and others that will be affected by project activity, revise the schedule as needed
Maintain schedule timelines, track/submit job-related documents and expenses
Understand the importance of the organization’s reputation and accepting ownership of new/different requests that had value to job completion
Ability to stand, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
Understand and follow safety protocols
Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
