About The Position

The non-ferrous warehouse worker handles all non-ferrous material with little supervision. They are responsible for inputting data into company’s material receipt system and required to complete physical inventory.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.
Can work independently and in a team environment
Self-motivated and takes responsibility for own work; can manage interruptions
Must perform all duties while meeting safety protocols
Must have good communication skills
Must be dependable
Must have the ability to answer any questions and solve any complaints from the customer in a professional manner
Must have good organization skills
The ability to identify items that are ferrous and non-ferrous
Displays an understanding of local, state, and federal safety regulations

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Metals Recycling, preferred

Responsibilities

Completes daily safety inspections
Receives all non-ferrous material as it comes in
Processes and separates all material as it is received
Gleans material from the yard
Maintains a clean and safe work environment that complies with all local, state, and federal safety regulations
Identifies and treats non ferrous material accordingly
Assists customers when needed
Performs general up keep and provides basic security for the facility
Completes monthly inventory routine
Communicates with the office and ferrous yard on customer movement
Completes physical inventory
Inputs data into company’s material receipt system
Other duties as assigned.
