About The Position

Follows direction set by the Facility Manager, oversee all NF operations at facility, including supervising and overseeing all incoming processing and shipping operations of non-ferrous scrap. Essential Functions Responsible for all activities including planning, maintenance, staffing, training and operation associated with the safe and efficient functioning of the assigned facility. Maintains quality of scrap being shipped. Review returns on material shipped to determine quality issues. Supervises NF employees including participating in hiring, corrective actions, performance reviews and terminations as appropriate. Ensures with NF Supervisory team that outbound loads are checked for accurate weight and quality, and are properly packaged and loaded; assures completion of 'baler' reports (baled, boxed, skidded). Maintains a safe working environment; observes employees for safe working practices. Monitor inventories daily to ensure that physical inventory matches; ensure the warehouse has adequate inventory for customer specifications & shipment purposes Manages cost and expenditures; takes action to meet or exceed budgeted targets for yard volume, net profit and ROI. Performs other responsibilities as assigned or directed.

Requirements

  • Prefer Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing or other related curriculum.
  • Should have 3-5 years recent and relevant experience within our industry or closely related industry.
  • Must be able (learn to be able) to grade NF Scrap
  • Must have excellent open communication style to carry out ongoing dialogues in a way that creates trust and confidence within all levels of the company.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to other facilities or customers as needed.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver's license.
