About The Position
As the Non-Duke Student Intern for the Ralph Bunche Summer Institute (RBSI) at Duke University, you will play an important role in supporting a nationally recognized program dedicated to expanding pathways to graduate study and academic careers. You will work closely with faculty, staff, speakers, and students to ensure a welcoming, organized, and engaging experience for all participants. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and enjoys bringing complex programs to life through strong coordination and attention to detail. You will help ensure that high-impact events and daily operations run smoothly while supporting students throughout their RBSI journey. By supporting the Ralph Bunche Summer Institute, you will contribute to a program that advances equity, mentorship, and academic opportunity, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in higher education program operations.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support for all RBSI programming activities
- Coordinate logistics for speaker-related events, including speaker lunches and keynote dinners
- Secure, manage, and oversee catering services for program events and special functions
- Support planning and execution of RBSI Recruitment Day, including logistics, participant coordination, and on-site assistance
- Assist students with onboarding and departure processes, including airport transportation and shuttle coordination
- Manage student room assignments and housing-related logistics
- Prepare, organize, and distribute course and program materials in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, vendors, and students to ensure seamless program delivery
