Job Description Level II NDT inspector will execute and interpret non-destructive test using multiple methods (VT, MT, and PT) to detect defects on ships structure and piping. This role involves working in challenging environments, including shipyards and Navy Vessels while following strict NAVSEA and QMS requirements. Inspectors are responsible for completing detailed quality assurance reports, reviewing drawings, reviewing various operating procedures, overseeing production work, and reporting issues to Quality Manager. As an experienced inspector they will also be providing training and guidance to lesser experienced employees. Other duties may be assigned as necessary by Quality Manager.

Requirements

High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 2 years of related experience. Prefer technical/professional certifications. Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
Must be previously certified as Level II in VT, MT and PT inspections with proof of certifications.
Must have 2-5 years previous experience in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control.

Nice To Haves

Expertise in NAVSEA Standard Items, MIL-STD-271, MIL-STD-1689. Prior shipyard experience.

Responsibilities

Ability to manage, oversee, schedule and assign tasks to one or more multiple jobs.
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
