The Workforce Development and Continuing Education (WDCE) division offers a range of short-term licensure and certificate training programs and courses tailored to meet the needs of Connecticut residents and businesses. These programs, known for their high quality, cater to individuals re-entering the workforce or aiming to acquire new technical skills to advance their careers.

The College is seeking part-time non-credit lecturers who are passionate about inspiring and training the next generation of Manufacturing workers. Requirements

• Current Industry Certification in the field you are applying to.
• Related work experience in the field you are applying to.
• Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment.
• For Plumbing: Must be a P1 Plumber
• For Welding: One (1) or more years of work experience in the field of welding.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching in workforce development, adult education, continuing education, or non-credit training programs, particularly in short-term certificate or credential-aligned programs.
• Experience designing or delivering customized training programs (onsite, online, or hybrid).
• Knowledge of the current industry trends and workforce needs
• Two (2) or more years of practical experience in the field for which you are applying with an understanding of industry credentialing or licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
• Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
• Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
• Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
