Balance Life & Work with a New Career Opportunity LONG TERM CARE SHORT TERM REHAB SKILLED NURSING Now Hiring - Non-Certified Nursing Aide/Assistant - GREENSBURG, PA THE REHABILITATION & NURSING CENTER AT GREATER PITTSBURGH 890 Weatherwood Lane Greensburg, PA 15601 The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for, but not limited to: Pass and pick up food trays after meals are finished (report to nursing assistant or to nurse what patient ate). Clean patient’s glasses. Keep linen carts stocked and covered. Fill water pitchers (replace as needed), offer patient’s a drink of water, collect water pitchers and change pitcher liner once a week, & give clean drinking cup as needed. Remark water pitchers with patient’s name and room number as needed. Make beds when patients are out of bed. Answer call bells (if the patient needs more than a drink to be handed something, to turn on TV or radio then get a nursing assistant). Clean patient’s closets and drawers. Remove excess hangers from closets. Clean clutter in resident’s room (check with the resident or the nurse before throwing anything away). Clean and straighten overbed tables and nightstands. Straighten linen/supply closets. Wash bedpans and urinal (2 X week). Make sure all clothes, personal belongings, brushes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. are labeled clearly with the patient’s correct name and room number. Check armbands and door tags. Get new ones from the secretary as needed. Check patient’s personal items or clothing for need. If resident’s belongings are in need of repair, take them to activities to be repaired. Transport patients in wheelchairs and gerichairs to activities and dining room, etc. Clean utility rooms 1 X week. Clean underneath the desk at the nurse’s station 1 x week. Clean refrigerators as needed. Read mail to patients if they ask you to do so. Run errands. Take residents to and from the dining room. Keep lids on barrels tightly. Keep inventory sheets updated. Position Requirements: High School Diploma ore equivalent Experience not required Must be tactful, courteous and cheerful in dealing with patients, visitors and staff The CareOne mission is to define excellence within the health care community.
