About The Position
The Nurse Aide in Training position is designed for individuals preparing to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Under the guidance of licensed nursing staff, you’ll receive hands-on training and classroom instruction to build the skills needed to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a skilled nursing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Eligible for or enrolled in a state-approved CNA training program
- Strong interest in long-term care or a nursing career
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist residents and lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment
Responsibilities
- Participate in a state-approved CNA training program
- Assist residents with daily care needs such as grooming, hygiene, and dressing (under supervision)
- Support meal service, feeding, and hydration
- Observe and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff
- Learn proper infection control and safety practices
- Assist with resident mobility, comfort, and transfers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful care environment
- Attend all training sessions and complete required coursework
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and teamwork every day
