About The Position

The Non-CDL Driver for Heritage Pool is responsible for operating a vehicle for transporting goods, products, or materials to various destinations without the need for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). This position will report directly to the Logistics Manager or Transportation Supervisor and has no direct reports. The role requires daily local travel with the occasional need for long-distance travel. Drivers will work in a variety of weather conditions and must be comfortable driving in these conditions. Requirements

  • Possession of a valid state driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with using navigation systems.
  • Proficiency in English required for communication regarding safety.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant driving experience.
  • Physically fit and able to frequently lift up to 50lbs.
  • Directs work effectively.

  • Builds effective teams within the department.
  • Collaborates with peers and superiors for optimized work processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in driving or logistics preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • A vocational or technical degree in transportation or related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, or Safety Training would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a non-CDL vehicle ensuring all products, goods, or materials are transported to their destinations.
  • Perform pre and post vehicle inspections and report any discrepancies.
  • Load and unload vehicle as required.
  • Follow delivery schedule and communicate any delays or issues promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service during the delivery and pick-up operations.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all transport and vehicle maintenance.
  • Assist with counter sales.
