About The Position

Pilkington North America, part of the NSG Group, is seeking a NON-CDL Delivery Driver/Warehouse person. This role is crucial for delivering glass to customers promptly, maintaining positive customer relations, and ensuring an efficient local work environment. Key responsibilities include receiving and unpacking glass shipments, accurately locating and loading parts for delivery, processing returns, stocking the warehouse, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The position also involves assisting local management with inventory systems and coordinating driver delivery routes. Requirements

Proficiency in English language (verbal and written)
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and an ability to read maps
Ability to lift 35-45 pounds on a frequent basis and on occasion up to 70 pounds
Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools
Excellent attendance required
Good customer relations skills – Client interaction required
Ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the area of the assigned Service Center
Pre-employment criminal background check
Physical and drug screen

Nice To Haves

Personal Computer skills including computerized inventory system
Previous driving, material handling, and glass experience
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Previous commercial driving experience (2-years minimum)

Responsibilities

Delivers glass to customers promptly
Develops and maintains good customer relations on delivery at all times
Develops and maintains positive local work environment
Receives glass shipments and unpacks incoming trucks at warehouse
Works closely with the lead person to achieve a high level of complete customer service
Locates required parts in warehouse and removes from stock
Visually inspects glass and loads parts accurately on the truck for delivery from warehouse
Unload delivery truck and process returns daily
Stocks the warehouse, putting parts in their assigned racks
Checks inventory to maintain its accuracy
Receives orders from warehouse office
Complies with all safety policies and procedures
Assists local management in maintaining inventory system accuracy through cycle and physical inventory instructions
Assists local management in coordinating driver delivery routes
Locates and pulls product for will-call customers and completes necessary paperwork for proof of pick-up
Performs other related duties, as assigned
