We are immediately seeking a qualified W Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver to support the warehouse operation by fulfilling logistical needs in processing, storing inventory, picking orders, and making deliveries to our customers promptly. Branch: Walcro in Urbandale, IA Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, local routes Pay: $21-$22/hr

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse and or fulfillment experience or a similar environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with consistent, accurate, and quality work output.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to maximize productive results.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Clean driving record including a valid state motor vehicle license.
  • Ability to pass the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screen in accordance with company requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial driving experience is a plus!
  • Forklift experience and the ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Experience in the flooring and/or building materials industry is a plus.
  • Able to wear work boots and meet the standard of the company’s workplace safety.
  • Be able to pass a background check and drug test for pre-employment screening.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, stage, and load customer orders.
  • Receive inventory and inspect products for damage, stock products to bin locations.
  • Verify orders for accuracy and quality at every stage of receiving and shipping process.
  • Operate all equipment necessary for material handling such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other relevant equipment.
  • Follow shipping and receiving standard operating procedures (SOP) for both paperwork and electronic systems processes.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in executing warehouse standards of safety, maintenance, and cleanliness.
  • Organize inventory to meet safety, efficiency, and inventory control standards for storage and transport.
  • Ensure SOPs for inventory control are followed so pallets are properly shrink-wrapped, strapped, and banded for storage and transport.
  • Delivering customer orders per our established schedule as a delivery driver ensuring a positive customer experience while complying with all Department of Transportation regulations for a vehicle 26,000 lbs. or less.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.
