About The Position

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking a Nocturnist Physician Hospitalist to join their team in Wilkes Barre, PA. Schedule: 7pm - 7am (7 days on, 7 days off) ICU: Partially open Procedures: Not Required A hospital-based physician who only works overnight. Nocturnists are usually trained in internal medicine and have experience in hospital medicine. However, there are nocturnists trained in other such as psychiatry or family medicine.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)
• Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
• Patient Care And Procedural Skills
• Professional Etiquette
• Systems-Based Practice

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
• Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
• Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.
• May prescribe or administer medications.
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
