About The Position

Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Abington Hospital. This role involves working one week on/one week off and offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a sustainable work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Overnight Admissions & Inpatient Care: Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage ongoing inpatient care.
• Cross-Coverage Support: Provide backup to APPs and assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance and proper coding.
