About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Nocturnist - Hospitalist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx . Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. Supervision of superb medical residents with an average USMLE Step 2 score of 257, who have ranked in the top 20% nationally on the National Inservice Exam for 9 years, with the last 2 years in the top 10%. Educate and mentor medical students from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Requirements

License to practice medicine in the State of New York.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

Direct clinical care for underserved, diverse population in The Bronx.
Supervision of Hospitalist service Medical Residents and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Supervision of superb medical residents
Educate and mentor medical students from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $241,000 (board eligible); $246,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
