Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Candidate must meet ONE: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR Completion of relevant DoD/Military training (e.g., 4‑11‑C32‑255N, 102‑25S40‑C45, 4C‑FA26B, M0923W1, M0923X1); OR Relevant certifications (see list below).
  • Minimum 7 years in network/NOC operations with at least 5 years in leadership/management of 24/7 NOC for enterprise/DoD environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in WAN/LAN/VPN management, firewall/IDS/IPS operations, VoIP, virtualization/cloud services, incident escalation, vendor management, and DISA/DoD compliance.
  • Strong leadership, incident command, stakeholder coordination, and senior‑leader briefing skills.
  • SecurityX / CASP+, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT

Nice To Haves

  • Prior RCC‑ARNG/DoDIN/DoD NOC or NOSC experience
  • Familiarity with ORGNET convergence, DCO toolsets, DISA mission partner processes, and RMF authorization artifacts
  • Experience with automation (SOAR), NOC/MSP toolsets, telemetry platforms, and capacity forecasting

Responsibilities

  • Direct 24/7/365 NOC operations: monitor alerts, perform diagnostics, and escalate incidents to Tier II/III, DISA, NETCOM, ARCYBER, vendors, and mission partners.
  • Oversee device configuration, firmware/software updates, hardware replacement, endpoint management, and telecommunication support across NIPRNet and SIPRNet.
  • Manage onboarding/evaluation of new services, technologies, and devices; coordinate with engineering, EA, cybersecurity, and program teams for integration and refresh efforts.
  • Ensure NOC processes and outputs align with ITIL, DISA STIG, RMF, FISMA, IAVM, and CCRI standards; support audit and authorization activities.
  • Oversee COOP/DR, virtualization and cloud hosting operations, backup/failover planning, and managed service vendor performance.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, change/release documentation, circuit surveillance, capacity planning, and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform capacity monitoring, trend analysis, and produce operational reports/dashboards for leadership and program reviews.
  • Mentor and lead NOC analysts (junior/journeyman levels); optimize workflows and automation to improve MTTR, availability, and knowledge capture.
  • Drive knowledge management practices: incident history, lessons learned, and continuous process improvements.
