Position Summary: Under general supervision, the Nuclear Materials Control & Accountability (NMC&A) Engineer provides support to the NMC&A program, including measurement program support, procedure revision and other duties as assigned. What You Will Be Doing: Interface with internal stakeholders in the implementation and continued use of various measurement systems Provide technical assistance to ensure NMC&A program regulatory compliance and efficiency Revise the Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP) as directed by management to establish nuclear material safeguards for changing plant processes and configurations Provide training on NMC&A topics per management direction Prepare and review correspondence and data being sent to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS) Input, track, and complete actions and subtasks in a corrective action tracking system Maintain knowledge of and demonstrate ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and perform assigned duties in a safe manner Other duties and tasks as assigned by management We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent combination of education and experience Requires proficient computer skills, such as but not limited to, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe to process records and generate reports, charts, spreadsheets, and presentations Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance Stronger Candidates Will Have: Previous experience in NMC&A program Previous experience at NRC or DOE regulated site Previous experience with NDA techniques Previous experience in Nuclear Material Safeguards Candidates currently possessing a “Q” or “L” clearance In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
