About The Position

As a Night Watch, you'll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support adolescents aged 12-17 on their path to improved mental health and well-being. Every day, you will be the attentive and supportive presence available to our teens around the clock. Whether they're dealing with homesickness, a stomachache, or difficult emotions, you'll offer solace and guidance whenever needed.

Requirements

  • Age: 21+
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED is required; associate’s or bachelor’s in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1+ year working with adolescents in behavioral health, education, coaching, or mentorship preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid preferred (training provided).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to remain alert and responsive throughout overnight shifts. Must be capable of responding quickly in emergency situations and assisting in physical interventions if necessary.
  • Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screening and federal/state background checks per Missouri law.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe and secure environment by remaining alert to overnight safety needs and offering a calm, supportive presence throughout the night.
  • Guide adolescents through evening routines and coping strategies.
  • Proactively respond to emotional or behavioral challenges, helping clients feel supported and grounded.
  • Support a welcoming and clean space by completing routine cleaning tasks and facility upkeep each night.
  • Document progress notes daily and communicate important updates to the Program Director and clinical team to ensure seamless support and coordination of care.
